Situated on the border between the Lakes and White Mountains of Northern New Hampshire, The 1835 Federal House Inn is convenient to ski areas, Plymouth State University and the many summer camps in and around the area.
The Inn boasts 5 luxury guest rooms maintained with meticulous attention to detail. Each room has been individually decorated and reflects our image of the person after whom it has been named. All have queen size beds, 300 thread-count linens, incredibly comfortable pillow-top mattresses and plush towels and robes. Some have cozy sitting areas and fireplaces and all offer private baths, chocolates on your pillow and a basket of first class amenities.

Spend a relaxing day enjoying the Lakes or Mountains, return for a soak in our hot tub, snuggle by the antique wood stove in winter, stroll the beautiful acreage in the warmer weather. The Inn also offers the perfect location for small off-site meetings, seminars and events. In an authentic historic environment, we can formally seat up to 16 in the dining room with additional casual seating throughout the common area for up to 25 with larger numbers possible in warm weather using our brick patio.

Guests enjoy a complimentary 2+course gourmet breakfast, with a creative, beautifully executed menu inspired by the Seasons. Some of our morning specialties include Sweet Potato Pancakes, Spinach Country Quiche, Shirred Eggs Mornay and Eggs Benedict a la Federal House. Dinners are also available by request and reservation from our changing menu.
