Intimate and Romantic – The 1900 Inn on Montford invites you to be our guest and discover bed and breakfast comfort and hospitality with a warmth and graciousness that is reminiscent of Biltmore’s Gilded Age. The Inn has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored to create the inviting ambience of past splendor and elegance.
Four of our exquisite guestrooms have private en suite baths, King size beds and fireplaces. All bathrooms have showers. Three bathrooms have whirlpool baths and one a clawfoot tub.
Zelda’s Retreat, our five-room 1000 sq. ft. suite features a sitting room with fireplace, 40” LCD TV and DVD player, refrigerator and microwave; a private balcony, king size bed, marble bath with whirlpool, fireplace and TV and a deluxe shower.
Griffin Cottage, our new, magnificent carriage house offers the ultimate bed and breakfast experience! The William Morris Room, Rossetti Suite and Cloisters offer the ultimate in elegant luxury. Enjoy a sixteen jet Aquatic Industries whirlpool including a twelve jet Shiatsu massage with six separate programs, 12-jet air bath and chromatherapy treatment. Each shower features multiple Grohe body jets – thermostatically controlled – while a Mr. Steam steam system gives you the ultimate in relaxation.
Each room or suite offers plasma or LCD HDTV and surround sound for the ultimate entertainment experience. Each also has a “wet bar” with refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea maker, glasses and eating utensils.
The Cloisters, the most elegant accommodation in the South, is a spacious 1300 sq ft suite – a 50” plasma HDTV plus a 110” projection screen, SACD, DVD/Audio and 6.1 surround sound will give you the latest in A/V technology, while the Inglenook fireplace and SPA room gives you the ultimate in relaxation. The shower – 6’ x 8’ is large enough to enjoy a wet massage or to simply relax in the steam bath.

We serve a delicious three-course breakfast at 9 a.m. preceded by the arrival of coffee or tea to your room at 8. Guests in Griffin Cottage have breakfast delivered to their door at 9:30 am. Our breakfast consists of a fruit course, savory egg course and dessert course. For example, you might have a yogurt, raspberry, banana parfait topped with kiwi fruit as your fruit course, shirred eggs – American style, and for dessert – homemade caramel rolls. With advance notice, we are happy to accommodate all dietary restrictions.. |
