This quintessential inn is a sprawling 1792 colonial situated in the quaint village of West Swanzey, five miles from downtown Keene. The inn is located a stone's throw from the Thompson Covered Bridge and near the other covered bridges of Cheshire County for which the inn is named. Nestled in the beautiful Monadnock region, the inn is near outdoor activities, restaurants, arts/cultural events, auction houses, antique shops, covered bridges, and more. The décor of this historic building is lovely with uniquely decorated rooms, tin ceiling, and many antiques. There are five guest bedrooms each with A/C and private bath, each named for a nearby covered bridge. Scrumptious hot gourmet breakfast (quiche, french toast, and/or other specialties), fresh fruit, served on bone china with sterling silver and fine linen. Coffee and tea anytime.
Breakfast is normally served in the formal dining room but is sometimes served in the tea room or the porch in warmer weather. Request our Latin American breakfast with refried beans, rice, eggs, avocadoes, home-made tortillas and authentic seasonings, with fresh fruit such as mangoes, pineapple, and papayas.

CANCELLATIONS: Reservations are held with a valid credit card. A $20 service charge will be charged if cancellation is received between 7 and 14 days of your scheduled arrival. If cancellation is received within 7 days of your scheduled arrival date AND if another guest fills the room we have held for you, there will be no charges. The full room rate plus tax may be charged for no-shows and unfilled reserved rooms in which the cancellation was not received at least 7 days before your scheduled arrival. Cancellation charges may be applied towards a future stay if booked within one year. Deposits required ONLY for multi-room rentals and extended visits.
