Battenberg Inn is a century home with numerous beveled and stained glass windows, hard wood floors, oriental rugs and a friendly atmosphere. Guests are invited to enjoy our herb garden, yard, grill and the shady wrap-around front porch.
We have unique accommodations designed to enhance your visit. Several suites have entrances off a private deck or patio giving you privacy & convenience. Each suite is unique and vary from the romantic Battenberg Room with two person whirlpool under a stained glass window to the Oasis Studio Apartment with full kitchen facilities and a private deck. The Gatsby Suite has a separate sitting room with sofa-bed, bath with whirlpool tub, min-frig & microwave. If stairs give you a problem, The Seafarer is conveniently located on the first floor only 5 steps up from a private patio and has a private bath with x-large shower.
Birders will love the wet-lands and abundant shore birds near the B&B and at our
Portage River Nature Area. Birding, rental kayaks and canoes, eco-tours and instruction are available on-site and at our private Nature Area located just a short distance from downtown Port Clinton.
Retreats and Seminars: We can design a retreat for your group of 10 or less.
You may choose from a number of activities such as kayaking, yoga, birding and swimming; healing treatments including Reiki, Polarity, and massage. Classes on weaving, natural dyes, basket making, Battenberg Lace making, cooking (sasuage & bread making), Reiki, massage, herbal topics, and more are offered on-site and at our nearby Bamboo & Herb Farm. Call for more information and to arrange a retreat for your group. |

Full Complimentary Breakfasts are available in our dining room or can be enjoyed on the front porch. Breakfasts feature baked goods, a specialty dish or two such as Quiche, Crepes, Overstuffed Omelets, Fruit Topped Waffles, Whole-grain Pancakes, or Biscuits and Gravy along with fruits, juice, herbal tea and coffee. Please let us know ahead of time of any dietary request or requirements.
