Explore the beautiful Puna district on the east, and more lush, side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Escape to your own delightful cottage a five acre tropical estate. Our family, long time residents, welcomes you. Along with our own home we run a small alternative home school and host a petting zoo of twenty-some animals, including Little Sweetie, our 800+ pound pet pig. Children enjoy us and we welcome them.
Five comfortable, one bedroom and studio size, family style cottages, a non-chlorinated lagoon pool, a private regulation tennis court, a playground and a picturesque gazebo are available for your enjoyment.
We are located just 20 miles south of Hilo (between Kea'au and Pahoa) and are centrally located for visiting the active volcano, lovely botanical gardens, thermal hot pools and black sand beaches. It is just minutes to picturesque lava cliffs perfect for whale watching and turtle sightings, to little known hiking trails, or to historic Pahoa village with its quaint shops and choice of ethnic restaurants.
The cottages, which sleep from two to five, are set amidst large lawns, graceful palm trees and an assortment of fruit trees. Each has a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, TV/VCR, private phone, ceiling fans and a full bath.
