The Farmers' Guest House was built in 1867 and operated as a bakery, store and inn. The handsome Italianate style building was a favorite overnight stop for area farmers bringing goods to market as well as a gathering place for local folk. This structure remains today as one of the outstanding examples of 19th century architecture.
